Unless you were there when the world was last hatched on the back of the giant terapin, no one starts at the beginning, there is almost constant 'backstorying' and revisionary reworking of history as we learn new things about what brought us to this point. Really liked what you had done so far, but if you feel you need to do a 'do-over' that's fine, just please keep what you have done
@Shremedy: As much as I wanted to avoid the dreaded "reboot," it looks like that's the direction I'll be taking. Unfortunately there are a lot of storytelling problems with the current plot line that can't be fixed without completely rebuilding the story and setting from the ground up.
I've been doing a lot of craft experimentation lately as well as research into non-Western comic production. The good news is, I think it'll benefit Elspeth greatly in the long run. The bad news is, I'm not really sure how long it'll take. Right now everything is still in the theoretical stage; I really should've spent more time in development before starting in the first place, but I thought back then it'd force me to keep working on it if I just launched myself in head-first. Obviously now not a good idea.
I've been posting mainly at Tumblr these days: queensimia.tumblr.com. Once things get rolling, I'll post the news there first.

Going back to Falassar, Elspeth has a good case for him to buy human made bows, and that case is based on he wouldn't want to be caught dead using human made bows.
What if he needs to send a couple of fireteams out on a deniable operation? They use the best elven weaponry available, well, that makes it harder to deny that they are there on his orders, right? They show up using Human made weapons, that weighs against the theory he sent them.
Sorry to leave you all hanging. At first I had planned to take a couple of weeks off to refine some art issues that were bothering me, but that then evolved into an overall frustration with the story and process as it currently stood, and THEN I had to pack up and move to a new place fairly quickly.
The good news is, I'm mostly settled in the new apartment now, and once I finish a bit of test art and edit the next few chapters I'd written, we should get started again - I'd say mid-February as a conservative guess. Again, sorry to disappear on you all.
It's obvious he's a thief, no he didn't cross-class as a wizard or anything. (That spell would make him far to high a level for this point in the story.) No instead he just came back from Mount Doom in the land of Mordor, where he beat up two starved & dehydrated hobbits and a senile river-folk in-order to obtain the one ring, (sleight-of-hand natural 20 to put that on bowed over and with one hand behind his back.) The necklace is already explained as he said not hard for two people who don't belong in an area to find out about each other.
Hmmm, not sure if her naivety towards others' flirting is cute, or grating (or is that the one area she is a complete nob about?). {totally didn't see the post with the mother question, nope nope no you didn't}
