Latest update, as always i have responded to every comment on the previous page. Thanks for commenting.
This is my first page where there is no real action, so hopefully i did an okay job, personally im pretty pleased. I'm particulary happy with the results of panel 1.
I hope you enjoy.

Some thanks... @Fitz: Thanks for the comments, I was happy to get to this page because I can now get the story rolling and reveal some of Energize character. @ MEDUSA: Thanks. The picture is no relation to the storyââ¬Â¦it is a poster of a band that a couple of my mates are into, so itââ¬â¢s there for them really. @ lurch9944: Welcome back and thanks for remembering me. @Vindibudd: Thanks for the comments. Yes the story should start the develop more now, keep reading. As for the short arm thing, as he was leaning slightly towards the picture I took into account how much the arm would raise up, maybe I didnââ¬â¢t put that across well enough. Never mind. As for the tools, I am using an Intuos 3 A5 ( I assume thatââ¬â¢s 6x4??) @TheMidge28: Im glad you said that, I have been playing around with my inking techniques and Panels 1 and 5 and the most part of 4 were done in my current and now preferred method. Panels 2, 3 and the head in panel 4 were done in my previous way which I felt was too rigid, so I agree with you. Iââ¬â¢m trying to work it out. Glad your enjoying the story. @ Abt_Nihil: Thanks for your comments, greatly appreciated as always. @ DAJB: I agree, some of the best scenes in superhero comics are when they are kicking back. @ jmt: Thanks for your comments. Im pleased that the story is keeping your interest. @Rhykker, man in black, literacysuks1, Matalicman, Dchao: Thanks for your comments

Like JMT, I instantly thought of Peter Parker, too. And that mask lying there like just like that, like a t-shirt you take off and throw wherever after the morning jogging - amusing in a way :) I agree, nice job on the first panel, but my favorite here is the last one, there's so many emotions in that face: one the one hand, tiredness, on the other, some sort of amusement.

Also man, make your arms the correct proportion. The hands should be hitting mid-thigh. Otherwise looks sexy. What WACOM are you using? I just got an Intuos 3 4x6.

I like panel one and five...four is good too but the ones with the photo seemed...eh?...maybe too rigid...but I agree with everyone else with having this scene...grounds the story...great job!

Panel 1 looks great, I think your shading has improved over the last pages too. The story is progressing nicely... and I agree with DAJB, action scenes are so much more powerful against an empathizable backdrop like domestic scenes.
DAJB at 12:12PM, Sept. 2, 2007
Nice page. In "Shades", I try to mix the action sequences with a lot of "domestic" touches, too. I think it helps to remind us all that super humans are humans as well as super. (Plus I just think it's cool seeing a super hero kick back in his bare feet!)

I always thought it was a touch of reality to show a superhero hanging out in his apt with his get up half on trying to relax after a hard day. This reminds me of Peter Parker or something. a very nice touch. And an interesting piece to the puzzle.

Very nice. Kudos.
