Fusion #7 Page 16

Here's page 16 of Fusion #7, and our gal unleashes. Hopefully no one was standing by the windows watching. For those wondering, Fusion hit Mass Master with a pure kinetic blast (in other words, no heat). She just wants to knock Mass Master senseless (and wreck his suit), not incinerate him.

Do. Not. Tick. Off. Fusion.

irrevenant--Fusion is in a different dimension/universe/reality from Heroes Unite (and from all of the other realities in "Crossoverkill"). And Energize is indeed MUCH more powerful than Fusion. But in Fusion's world, Captain Stupendous is probably still top dog powerwise.

ChaosByDesign--Your questions will be addressed in this story arc (which will continue through probably at least Issue #11. "Most powerful super on the planet" is not entirely accurate. Many others (including Grasshopper) are physically stronger than Fusion (even the non-powered Brooder is stronger), and others are faster (and heroes like Captain Stupendous are faster and stronger), since Fusion is just a regular girl when not powered up; when powered up, she can create a massive amount of power, even though her physical attributes don't change. But you are correct in this beatdown of Mass Master will indeed attract some attention to her power levels.

If this is set in the same universe as the Heroes Unite stuff, Energize outclasses absolutely everybody. He's been defined as being powered by all life in all universes (o_O) and the latest Crossoverkill confirms that he's more powerful than Fusion. If this is a separate universe that just crosses over with the Heroes Unite one sometimes then yeah... Fusion seems to be top dog. O_O

Cool page.

And I'm pretty sure that with this will come the general acknowledgement that Fusion is the most powerful super on the planet and can handle herself. The bigger question in my mind is what will everyone's reaction be? I'm sure some will think that it's good that Fusion is a good guy, but I can see others viewing her as a extreme threat/danger to the general population.

i guess you can tell a world of super heroes by the prevalence of safety glass. also, 'she need no protection, she's a freakin super hero!'

Man in black--She busted up his suit, and his suit is what generated the mass field; without it, he's just a regular guy.

Is this the first time fusion's pitted her powers directly against someone else's?

It's good that she is holding back from incinerating him, but I think she may have not accounted for the side effects of her blast. I wonder if there will be repercussions for the collateral damage she causes.
