Well! Look who it is! I hope that readers of the original are content with the new look Rekki and Subo.
'ZAAA!' is kind of a running joke. In manga, ‘zaaaa!’ (written in katakana characters) is the standard Japanese onomatopoeia for a dramatic appearance or entrance of a character. It's so silly and yet awesome that I use it in English now. You can also see it used in the second Scott Pilgrim Book, when the Clash at Demon Head appear. I am a huge fan of things that are simultaneously goofy and awesome.
I'm still keeping to schedule! Amazing! Even though real life seems to be conspiring against me, I'm still going!

I guess Subo looks a little like a hippie. Rekki though? Not so much. Besides, I've never seen Rekki get stoned or talk about peace.

oo..i love the idea of translated Japanese sound effects, they somehow sound less pants than English ones (which is why I prefer it when they don't translate the sound effects in manga - having to read stuff like 'zooom!', 'bzzzt!' etc. splashed all over the page usually makes me cringe, whereas if they're in a Japanese script I can just look at the pretty shapes XD )
