Chapter One, Page Eighteen

While I was living in Texas there was no place to get good pizza. Yeah, there was pizza, but it wasn't good pizza, like, not even Sbarro quality. Mr. Gatti's was popular, but had a crust like corrugated cardboard. Austin eventually got Home Slice Pizza, but like many places during my last days there, Home slice became a “thing”. Less a place to eat and more a “devoir por le haute”. Good pizza, but not with waiting two hours for a pie. Which is why whenever I was home, we would get Luchetti's Pizza (extra large with pep plus two pounds of wings for about $21!). DEAR GOD, IT'S DELICIOUS!!!! And while I did not come home solely for the pizza, it was always what we had for dinner my first night back. This page is my tribute to good pizza.
