Uh if they need transport try use a Warp Door there are on everywhere, but you need a use some of Void to use it.

A few reasons- death certificates mean harder to acquire paperwork, Hard to trace relatives on a single ended search, kept alive or own purposes- possibly smuggling (animals are smuggled to a similar if not greater level than drugs), they might have assumed the they had no living relatives...
