Happy New Year, everyone! What better way to add to the celebrations than with a beautiful new page by ShastaB24?

Also also, I'd like to share what Shastab24 told me when sending me this page: “I thought you might find it interesting that, going forward, I thought I'd use model Emily Di Donato as reference for Bombshell. It was really just the face here (as little as I can capture it at the moment), but I thought I'd use a swimsuit model as reference, and one with an Italian (or Italian-sounding) name. After all, I gather from references throughout that plenty of people in the HUniverse think Bombshell looks like a swimsuit model (I know it's the costume moreso, but there must be something about her looks, too), so why not use that?” Coincidentally, we have a thread in the forums which could use more posts, where you can share celebrity lookalikes of your character(s)! I'd certainly be interested in who you think your (or perhaps others'?) characters look like!

If I could draw that well with a mouse, that would be awesome, but my aforementioned tremor leaves me useless with mouse drawing. And I don't know if I could ever get used to a tablet--or even afford one in the first place.

I draw on paper. The jagged lines are partly in the inking process (I can do pencils cleanly, more or less, but I do have a tremor, which shows more in the less-grippy pen) and partly my scanner. But I color (and letter) with GIMP. I never seem to learn about panel borders, either, since I do trace the outline of the page with an actual comic (a misprint issue of one of my own that I keep for that purpose), but then don't use any ruler or the like for the borders within the page, just eyeing it. And I own a ruler, so I have no excuse (I use that for whenever I have to do a double-page spread, as it's easier than tracing a comic for that).

What Abt said. You have improved *so* much. What do you use to draw? Your ability to draw is great and your drawing software seems to be letting you down by giving you jaggy pixelated lines rather than smooth ones. Do you have a graphics tablet? If you're drawing that well with a mouse I am in AWE. If not, I'm merely jealous. :P

And the first panel is actually one of the reasons this was delayed, actually. I didn't think I could pull it off, so I put off the entire page. Then I ran into that problem of little free time/creative block. Really, I consider it not very well-done myself, except I like how I did the teleportation effect. At first, I was going to draw in the bubbles, but then realized the best way was to do them in the coloring process. I do find it interesting how I accidentally made the zombie dust look like it was coming from the characters, though.

Love the page. Angles are getting better. This is going to be an interesting turn of events for RISE. The fact that HA can teleport would make it hard for RISE to pin point HA members. On other notes. I'm still looking for my characters look a like with the hair. I came close but I'm still looking for that famous person. I was going to use hasselhoff's daughter but I change my mind. Her body size was wrong. Well, I'll find one soon. This monthly mayhem is new to me and I'm not following what it's all about. PQ me or leave a message in the forum about it. Thanks all.
