No disrespect for ASH's and FiP's straight-to-the-point advices and encouragements, but sometimes I do feel that all I need is a good slap on the face to wake me up and move on
Hey congrats on the feature!! :D And this is so weird, I thought you just hadn't been updating, but apparently I forgot to fave ILD months ago when I was looking at it 0_o
And I can sympathise too, although my Dad is the 'only sees us once a year and hardly talks to us' kind rather then the 'too harsh' kind! Their bluntness is truthful in a way, keep moving forward!!

A splash of cold water can also help...and is less pain full :3
