Issue 5 page 4

Ick an entire page is spinach land. Being a tank crewman, I spent about a third of all training time looking through night vision. All kinds, passive, Image intensification and thermal. The last words on the previous page were calibrate sights… and you can do that endlessly depending on what you're looking at or looking for. This page reflects someone turning down the brightness trying to get a good image without wash-out. Nah, it's me playing with the filters looking for the one that best reflected my memory and failing.
There is a “night vision” filter in Photoshop but it's passive/IR (blues and reds) and I wanted the spinach land of thermal. Note that everyone has a helmet and visor and Norwood's thermal is built into his sunglasses. Maybe he has an entire computer interface in there. Not part of the story so not going there. It's something they take for granted? The future is so bright got to wear shades.

Oh, well that's just great! Maybe they can spray the area with some kind of fluorescent aerosol and then use blacklights to locate anything that moves. Oops, forgot, this is a spaceship not a Miami night club.

You're already surrounded! Or not. Does it hurt to turn on the lights while wearing those things?

Oh No.... I think I just know what's gonna be right amongst them when they turn the lights on...!
