Jovian Cover (version 1)

As far back as I can remember, I wanted to make comics in three distinct but related “pulp” genres: space opera, sword and sorcery, and super heroes. As my sword and sorcery story Dragons in Civilized Lands is rapidly approaching its 200th page (and the end of the first volume), I started working on my space opera.
I'm trying to do something original here which catches the spirit of my favorites… Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica, Buck Rogers, Flash Gordon, Firefly. If I succeed, I'll make you feel like you felt when you first encountered each of those stories.
Jovian is a setting more than a story. Seventy years ago, a Royal Caste ruled the system which surrounds this gas giant. A coup by the Warrior Caste eliminated the Royal Caste, leading to decades of war, with various alliances amongst the warrior caste vying for control of the system. I have hundreds of characters and countless stories I can tell in this setting.
I'm posting a few potential covers today. Would be interested in your feedback… which one makes you want to know more? And does your favorite cover change as you read through the series?

Excellent cover! Sorry, I didn't notice before you started another comic. I think you have an original idea mixing several genres into a sci-fi themed, thank you for sharing.
