Well at least the cat isn't insisting on attention. Put the cat in the next room and it makes loud noises... rather have it stare in silence.

My cat, on an average night, tries to wake us up multiple times to feed her, and even after you feed her wants you awake to give her attention. She knocks over everything she can in the room. If you put her outside the room and close the door, she thumps on the door and cries. You can't win. lol
