Accents can be attractive. Look at Arnolds lol, when he gets up to leave his date he says, " I'll be back!" The ladies love it ;)

Some can do it, some can't. You really have to immerse yourself in the dialect and not slip. When you can fool a native speaker, have at it. But then a lot of people are ignorant and gullible so choose your target and takes your chances. I have convinced people that my Pennslyvania American accent is the put-on and something else is how I talked before the dialect coaching. :D And then there was the Scottish guy who had sex with every woman in a certain dorm at Rutgers, mostly because of the accent.
