Zaku is the Author of the old sprite comic, Megaman Warped. His appearance in this comic is just a cameo and a shout-out.
The blue and yellow midget is Sergeant. Yah, it is sorta like a spin on the Colonel character from the Megaman X series. Expect a confrontation between him and Diablo in the next comic.

Yah, and then I use GIMP for the backgrounds. Line tool helps a lot as well, but it requires a lot of trail and error. Mostly error.

If you have ever seen a line up of Marines, or soldiers, they stand stiffly and straight. I tried going for that look on this page.
