too bad most ppl set dark elves = drow (from D&D and Sabatini's books). there are dark elves in the Elder Scrolls universe, Tolkien's dark/shadow elves and Albae in Markus Heitz's books

Racism has always been there in mythology , just like it has in religion, so let's leave it at that. Remember that old folk tales always had their own angels and demons, and if they had been told as modern stories we'd label them cliche, but that's how they were written at the time.
