Kou the Mad: You are saying it as if someone is forcing you to choose. Combining magic with science is the best way. Think a blaster enchanted to always point to a target, for example (ok, not original). Also, I'm sure there are great possibilities for creating electricity when using magic ... may even overcome that stupid arbitrary second law of thermodynamics ...

Given that magic also operates within a frame of rules, just like science, and the costs for trying to ignore those rules can be so very nasty... I'll take science.
