The second comic… now I'll show up on search results! w00t! *Dances* so comment already! Also, I got a new background up, courtesy of ZQuest generator thingy.
Thanks a bunch for your comics, hopefully the next comic will look better, and I came here to learn anyways, soyea! I consider myself lucky to get at least 1 commment, much less 3! I'ma starting ta work on the next one now...
The background should never be one color unless the sprites have the same style. The sprites simply are overdetailed compared to the background. Try using bghq for real game backgrounds.
Oh yeah, and NEVER SAVE AS JPG! Only use PNG or GIF. GIF is used for animation. JPG ruins the picture quality.
And about the comic: What is link standing on? An invisable walkway? Whats the blue thing supposed to be? Grass? Blue grass? Why is everything floating?
While I'm at it, what is that green thing in the background? It looks like you dragged its size with the mouse. Use Stretch/Skew for increasing something's size.
Also try centering the text in the speech bubbles. If you so all of this, then your comic has a fighting chance.
Ugh... 16 bit sprites with a 2-color background? With a bad re-color of link? A badly re-sized sprite, and it's a saved as a Jpeg... We have a winner...
Seriously though, get some better backgrounds (try http://www.bghq.com), save as a PNG, there is no point in making Link blue, and please make the sprite on the left more visible.
