guest comic by Neggie! (Nergal)
Locoma on Sept. 8, 2008
I'm the most evil m f who has ever lived I deserve to die I deserve to die and go straight to hell and then have some demons kicking my crotch for about 5 thousand years just to be followed by a million blades chopping every piece of my body until there's only a big pile of meat left of it.
I'M A MURDERED… just look at him, he's sooo cute :3 I want to hug him and cover him with kisses. What can I say? I love this guest, it's too sweet. Done by the amazing Nergal!
Yes, Locoma won an Award. Yes, I'm really happy about it. At first I didn't even knew what was it. What does it mean?
So the other day I got curious and decided to navigate the forums to check how the whole awards thing was made. Have you ever been in a DD community project? Well, it's usually very fun for the participants and fun but also rough for the ones who run it (it takes a lot of commitment for the project to work). DD Awards was just like that, only really out of proportion. I swear I couldn't believe the amount of work and coordination this event took. I kept reading the posts, each person with a special idea on how to choose the winners while the admins (really like teachers) shared their own experiences through the years. The whole thing looked like those busy wall street scenes from the movies. I kept reading until I ended up in a Blog outside drunkduck, in which Amanda (who organized the awards) was being interviewed about it:
Q: What is your perception of the Drunk Duck community? Is there even a community?
XD
It means a lot, I'm very grateful and really pumped up. Thanks!!
And I've been nominated for a bunch of categories (haha that was too fun):
-Antagonist: Locoma and Mr. Advertising (yeah, he made it to the awards too)
-Website
-Traditional
-Helpful Dder
If you're curious go check it out, there are a lot of nominations and finalist that really deserved to be there (and by that I mean, from the comics I read). I'm really satisfied with it and I totally regret having no participation in it (I would have nominated a bunch of my favs, sorry about that).
Next: still planning, but I promise I will make time to keep this active. It's official, the duck won't let me have my comic vacations XD

Once again, congrats on the award. It's a shame this comic has ended. I'll be eager to see what else you have planned for the future.

I wonder what made Mr. Advert change into the evil being he became!? This peek into his childhood is just a small piece of the puzzle!! I'm so happy that you won Best Experimental! Congratulations.

Ack! He's adorable. (And it sounds like a Lifetime movie. Eeep.) If it makes you feel better the forum looks much busier and more chaotic from the outside. When it came to the choices, things went fairly smoothly (though amanda shouldered most of the work, so big props to her!) BTW, I voted for you for experimental and am really glad they gave you the win! I haven't known anyone else on DD to so freely experiment with so many styles and media (and mixed media -- and mixed styles!)
