This reminds me of the time someone invented rocket-delivered mail for the Scottish islands. To be fair, if he'd been able to get the rocket fuel he wanted, it would have worked, but World War 2 was on and so, funnily enough, Germany was not exporting the stuff. With the fuel he was able to get, the rocket exploded and threw burning bits of letters all over the island beach. ;)
