Question Mate picked up signs of LIFE these goblins are Life Challenged (had to) so they wouldn't have been detected so what living thing did Mate pick up on Seeker's sensors? whatever it is it either is what turned them into crystal (though the fact that all the natural objects in that system are made of crystal kinda make's one think that the radiation the stars are giving out is a slow carbon to crystal trans-mutative radiation and this will happen after prolonged exposure) or what raised them from the dead also this is kind-of like the "Old-New York" situation a heavily populated area of historic significance to Terra that do to some era-shifting event died out being brought back from the dead and not maintained... Do we have a time traveling historian necromancer on our hands?

so they died the radiation turned them into crystal and then some necromancer brought them back... I see a few things about these zombies, first no preservation work required however they are impossible to repair, even so after they provide them with mini-gnomes a team of the non-green ones (assuming they have the same properties as the other crystals from this system) would both provide Boo with the zombies she needs to get stuff done and act as a security team.
