My fau;t for not specifying Lan's great time-traveling (we think) decedent/apprentice whom is easily confused with a female version of lan minus the shape-shifting but with wings that she knows how to use. Lan CAN give himself wings and has on a few occasions, 2 in comic in LWD he took liftoff with the intent on crushing his foe (kinda like Boo v Hag only no-one gave him a boost) and most recently in the shape of a most unusual mutt, a horse griffin...
