Ok judging by how if this younger necromancer was captured, with enough raw necrotic power to be at the same level as Lan, she must have been taken before she was trained to the point where she could use her zombies effectively, Beings that get their power from controlling others rarely do things themselves, they get others to do it for them, while they stay far away from danger, so the Mind Flayer didn't capture either necromancer directly.. I also get the feeling this new necromancer will become Lana's apprentice, she has demonstrated that she can raise even the largest corpses from the dead, with and without the soul that once inhabited them, as well as many other feats, I don't think its appropriate to call her a journeyman anymore.
