Sorry this is horribly late. I came home from work and fell asleep… then woke up… then fell asleep again. Man, that sucked…
Yep. Fudo was the first person who trained Firilis in the ways of the sword. Sure… Sir Mightion is her trainer now… except he's more of an Axe Man. You can probably tell what this version of Used Book's Seiko thinks of him. But that's the kind of attitude the really smart mages have towards those who they think are less “brainy” than they are.
I was going to put in a line where she asks what Atashi thinks of older women (she's close to 30 in Magiversity), but decided that'd be inappropriate… her first love is magic, the second is books, and that's about all the love she's supposed to have in life. :)

I wonder what that bird is. A portion of the Phoenix's slowly waking spirit/magic, or something more related to what they are currently doing.

Ah, interesting spins you took with the characters. In UB, Seiko is 24 and Fudo is 39. In this alternate universe, I could easily imagine them with these personalities. :)
