SHE KILLS poster sketch
ttyler on Feb. 3, 2013
This is my initial Pencil design of the Poster and cover art for the independent film, She Kills, due out later this year. I have NO IDEA how im gonna pull this off yet, because I have to do it so large allowing it to be blown up to movie poster size. I don't want to lose the line detail once it's blown up, so I have to do it rather large. My scanner is tiny, and when I scan in different pieces, especially if they are in color, they tend to scan wierd…….like if I scan 2 parts of a colored face, they both seem to be different tones, even though they come fromn the same piece………anyone got any suggestions?

Great question about the scanner. I'd love to get hold of a scanner that could do larger originals.

Thanks for the info......I'll have to look into the publisher just doing it.....but I think he wouldn't have a clue either.......I might have to just jump in and make it work.

Depending on the size of the original, they may not make scanners big enough to handle it. You've checked all the copy stores, photo or office supply stores to see if they have a large scanner that can handle it? Not sure what other types of businesses would have a large scanner, but one of them might be willing to scan it for you as a one time shot. If you have gimp or another graphics manipulation program, you can try asking on one of their forums if there is a way to correct the color differences for split faces. Also, check for artist forums and ask there. Could you just send the customer the paper and let them deal with blowing it up? I think I've covered all the obvious solutions. Sorry I can't give you a good answer.
