Okay, I've come back. Hello ducklings. Going to be running the strips daily till they catch up.

Huh - I always thought the bug the salesman turned into in Metamorphosis was a cockroach - that's what the description sounded like to me. Different interpretations, I guess. Heh.

Followed over from Chips...Broken. (There's a joke there somewhere.) Excellent and faved, so I can catch up. Jim

Swift and to the point.

x3022 is quite right... I'm told by various fluent germans that Kafka barely even specifies an insect. That it would more accurately be a "vermin" that Gregor becomes.
I hope I never learn german, it sounds awful.

Nabokov said somewhere that Gregor turned into a beetle (the point being that Gregor, as a beetle, would have wings and could have flown away had he known). However, Kafka never does identify what type of bug Gregor was transformed into (or even if he was a bug, as the original German is much more vague). Lit lesson over. Very nice page! Love the colors, love the subtly and especially the last panel (last panels are so important). Hoping to see more soon!

I am incredibly pleased I found this comic again.
Excellent as ever, frankly.
