Yep. She's pretty much fucked. I mean, when she loses her power-ups, she usually at least has her armor… now all she has is a puny little stun gun, not even armor, in a highly radioactive death-trap.
So I'm pretty sure this is a good time to drop the F-bomb.
If you were planing on having parts where Samus is without here Power Suit, you should have used Metroid: Zero Mission for sprites. It's basically the same story as Metroid anyways with some stuff added at the end, plus everything looks better.
Several people have told me that they think Samus seems a lot like the Samus from Planet Zebeth. And to those of you that are repelled by that... trust me, this is only temporary. I was aiming for her to seem like that, and you'll see what I mean soon. Just don't let that turn you off too much, K?
