Yes, that's right! Vampira. The name Elvira is more commonly known due to additional publicity due to DVDs and such. Just a mental mistake - I'm the owner of both "Ed Wood" and "Plan 9". The Plan 9 DVD has an excellent documentary that's worth the price of the disc alone.
Everyone should watch this movie at least once. It's the very definition of "so bad it's good".
And I must correct you. The lovely lady walking with Tor Johnson above was not Elvira, but Vampira (Maila Nurmi). Wikpedia says she passed away in January 2008. Cassandra Peterson, a.k.a. Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, is still alive and well.
