The background for this strip is the Eagle nebula. It's pretty.
Also I'm not sure if this really comes across, but the fact that the ‘e’ in the title at the bottom is sort of cut in half is deliberate.

wow I was "here" in a deployed location thinking i was gonna be bored out of my mind, till I found out there was new neko the kitty "here" and seeing him bored made me not bored hurray!!!
