The elongated “o” sound caused by placing a u in sayonara makes it mean a more permanent goodbye.
This is the last page of the introduction to Oni No Noroi and the last time we will see Sakuya, Taiyou no Ba, and Yoshiki as a child until later flashbacks.
The main story will start next issue and will take place roughly 10 years from this scene.
Just some FYI background stuff I dont mention: Yoshiki is 8 years old here. Sakuya is 17, and Akira, who left last issue was 16.
FORESHADOW: I dont think anyone is going to like Yoshiki as an adult, lol…

Very colorful for a Japanese setting... Sakura blossoms are very Beautiful, in creating serene atmospheres. But the case in this scene, the blossom petals to me reflect a shedding of sorrow towards Yoshiki. Very Beautiful update, & also sad.. Kaminari take care, & have a lovely week! ~M~ v~~~~v
