D42's thumb broke off a long time ago. I replaced him with a red Spartan at one point, but that one broke, too (stupid cheap son of a–*ahem!*)…so I covered it up with a gun for most of his other appearances.
Screw that, let's draw attention to it and get it out of the way. It happened in battle.
