Dennis from Duck And Quail
Locoma on Dec. 14, 2011
Thanks guys for the support, I'm still working on Duck And Quail strips (this is Dennis) which will be posted in a few weeks. I won't post them here though, these drawings were just the practise for the strips. Duck and Quail is currently being updated by a watercolor artist :D They're looking really interesting.
Darrell: I used regular markers, man, cheap ones. You remember when I did markers for Locoma? I had found a really interesting technique back then, you use the markers with cotton and water to make some cool effects (q tips too). The good thing about buying cheap ones is that you can afford many of them and hence you have more tones in-between.

I've seen a lot of people going with the Copic markers. I considered getting some grey ones to do different tones and such (no colour as I can't do colour) but they seem pretty expensive. Plus, I work pretty much completely digital now anyways so they'd probably dry up before I got around to using them. :)
