Page 2 - The Mermaid That Lived on the Mountain

Ack. Ick. This is… ugly. I feel such a horrible sense of shame. Cut and paste… there are plenty of good comics that use cut and paste, but those are actually funny. I told myself that I would never do that. Ew, ew, ew. I feel dirty.
Alright, never again. Even if I have to delay a page for days, I will never again copy and paste.
On that note, how long has it been since I updated? Two weeks. Ick. Well, I've been doing some thinking. I want to make this something that is good, that I can be pround of. Something that inspires the emotions that other people's work always has in me… To do that, I have a lot of work ahead of me, artwise, humorwise, and plotwise. These are the three main subjects I will be working on!
Humor is something that will come later, though…. right now, plot and art. I want as much comments and critisism as anyone who actually reads this can give me. I have pacing problems, I know that. What can I do to fix it? Is the story (what there is of it) easy to follow? Anything, any tip, it all will help.
Next, art. I will be doing my next few pages in just linework, so I can start with that. Tips and redlines are greatly appreciated. I'll be trying my hardest to improve on my own, but any help from any readers out there would be great, too… please?

Whoops, I just realized it was a girl after I looked at the last page.

This is intresting. It feels like a everyday conversation. Is the pirate the captain of his ship? Wheres is his weapons? He act's like seeing a mermaid is an everyday occurrence. Whys he always have that straw in his mouth?

Wow, thank you both. ^^ I wanted to work on just lineart for the minute, and I felt that the color was somewhat distracting from the lineart, which is what I wanted to start on improving... I will go back to the color soon, though. I'm glad to know you liked it. =3

your comic looks good so far, if you really feel you should work on just line art i guess you could, but the color of the previous pages were realy good
