According to dictionary.com, character is "the aggregate of features and traits that form the individual nature of some person or thing". From what I've seen in this comic, if Shadow is a character of any kind, he would be that of the static archetype, seeing how he still kills people on a whim and has learned very little throughout the history of this comic. As for you ysqure3, you are in ABSOLUTELY NO position to criticize my comic or the comic of anyone else for that matter. From what I've seen from your most recent strip, all your characters do is bash the taboo that is homosexuality. Despite the fact that you mention that as people, we should love the sinner and hate the sin, the last panel of this particular comic explicitly shows one of your "characters" wishing death upon all homosexuals, which I assume is the "punchline" of this joke of a comic. Furthermore, when someone posted a negative review about your comic, you muted his critique and then insulted him. At least the creator of Powerup Comics has the dignity to let readers like me get their opinions through. you have funny comcis

on another note, I'm a gamer in both video games and rpg's, and I can seriously say, while JT was a pain in the ass, the idea of shadow being the king of anything just isn't a cause I could support.

dang skippy, humorman. Some people just think they're hilarious and everyone that doesn't think so must have something wrong with them. It's obvious ysqure3 can't take any kind of criticism and thinks his opinions are gospel. Sad. As for this comic, I think the glorification of Shadow in this whole arc might actually be a little too realistic. All the craziness aside, this is how alot of our "heroes" in popular culture get their glory...on the shoulders and backs of others, and the blood of those who dared make a stand against them. Sad though that may be.

Shadow is a much more fully-developed character than any of your stupid stick-men. It's really annoying to see that you couldn't even properly rip off XKCD, for God's sake. Even if it's a parody of crappy stick figure ironic meta-humor comics, it's a shitty job because there's too much time spent "developing" your zero-dimensional characters and nowhere near enough, you know, ACTUALLY PARODYING STUFF. Ultimately, it just goes to show that you're incapable of understand what a character is. Shadow is an amazing, well-rounded, multi-dimensional character with many failings and flaws.

This is the reason why many people on this site, such as myself, despise this comic: you make your main character, Shadow, appear to be the most perfect human being on Earth. During this whole "Gamerland" event, your character has merely shunned people whom you have deemed as outcasts (Nintendo gamers, PC gamers, republicans, etc.) and created a poorly-established nation in the backyard of your (or almost definitely your parent's) house which I might add isn't even sovereign from the very country you are feebly attempting to secede. However, gamers from all over the country come and save the day FOR Shadow, yet he and Chug are praised as the sole heroes of this so-called war. What has Shadow done that no other toddler in the United States has? All he has done is thrown a tantrum and created a makeshift fortress in attempt to defy authority. How do these actions classify you as a rebellious hero ranked among others such as Patrick Henry, Davy Crockett, and Martin Luther King Jr.? This "comic arc" is merely the pipe dream of a grade-schooler that wishes to answer the question, "What would be the 'coolest' way to take down the government, and will still make me look like the hero?" Also, you have made it quite clear that the damsel-in-distress Alix has fallen for your "protagonist" for reasons that are trivial at best. Shadow has virtually no redeeming qualities despite the fact that you created him with this "perfect" persona. Throughout the entire archives of your comic, your character has shot people with a handgun just because they simply do not agree with his ideas, which you imply are inerrant. If your character was a leader in any way, shape, or form, he could only described as a tyrannical despot who will dispose of anyone whom defies his opinions. In your future comics, I sincerely hope that you do make some sort of endeavor to humanize Shadow as well as make your other characters psychologically sound in their actions. If you do not make any attempts to at least improve the plot/character development of your comics, I can guarantee you that your work will still receive stares and gawks from passers-by, however, it will NEVER be respected or even recognized by hard-working comic-writers that actually use psychology, philosophy, and most importantly intelligence to bring humor and entertainment to its readers.

How is Shadow crowdsurfing when all the crowd's members have their arms crossed??? And am I the only one who thinks that Shadow and Chug crowdsurfing is JUST LIKE the end of that one Winter-Een-Mas arc when Ethan was crowned the One True King of Gaming by gamers the world over??? Whatever, I really hope you make Gamerland a real place. I renewed my passport just in case!
