Heh, didn't mean to be hostile. I just tried going back and playing PD the other day, and for some reason I just couldn't get back into it. Funnily enough, I can still play Goldeneye just fine, but something about PD just keeps me at a distance. I agree with you that graphics are not the be all end all of gaming, in that some of the best games are the simplest (ever try CaveStory? A little handmade freeware game, simple looking but highly addictive.) Oh, and: OMG FACEPALM?! HURR HURR HURR.

Those rose colored glasses a little too tight there, Feghoot? I'll agree that Halo's not all that great, but Perfect Dark sucks major ass. Major. Back in the day, sure, it was fine, when all we had was Doom and Goldeneye. Nostalgia does not a good game make.
