Anonymous, I don't know how much of the comic you have read, but Shadow and Chug have a gay friend too. In fact, the guy in today's strip IS their gay friend, Francis! (I know he looks like Chug, but that is b/c he is Chug's cousin. You can tell them apart if you look at their clothes, Francis wears a pink t-shirt instead of a green hoodie.) If you look at the previous comics where Francis has appeared, you will see that Shadow and Chug do not have any problem with the fact that he is gay, so jokes like this one are just gentle ribbing on their part and not actual prejudice. I wouldn't be surprised if this was an actual joke Francis made! He seems like a guy who is cool with that sort of thing.
