And with that, the intro ends and the actual story begins. =p Hooray!
I'm pretty happy with how this page came out, all things considered. In fact, the only thing about it that REALLY annoys me is the arm of the green-shirted person in the third panel… But I redrew that damn arm about 400 times and finally just gave up. >:| It's another one of those things that I'll go back and fix “someday”.
And yes, these updates will slow down in another three pages, when I've caught up to what I already have finished. =3

Great juxtaposition of calmness in the face of chaos and random flaming rocks. Great work on the fire. Is that considered "magic" in this world? Looking forward to seeing how the rules of Purgatory, and the rules of your world, work.

xD. Thanks guys. And feverdream, surprisingly you're the first one to have asked why they just don't leave if they're all just standing around outside, haha. There is a reason and they are being "kept" there, but to say why would be a spoiler right now. ;)

I am impressed. The art is well done and the colors are great. I'm envious. I loved the little details like the shadows cast by the trees and the rings in the ears. The story plot has a great setup. A survivor type story. Lots of potential for good plot complications and shifting alliances. What medium do you work in? Is this digital? Aisha has a big red obvious amulet. Wonder if it means something or is just a good piece of jewelry. Who's watching the contest of the convicts? Is this like Survivor with magical cameras watching every battle and placing bets? If Aisha is a convict, why is she in the trees and not down with the others? Why doesn't she just leave? Where are the guards keeping them in?
