Wrapped up a ton of color tests today. It seems I can get much higher-quality out of these base photos for color if I ink the lines instead of just relying on pencil, which I guess is too low-contrast for the camera to read well.
Here's a color test using Photoshop's “Gradient Map” adjustment on a page you may remember from last episode:

We start a new scene tomorrow, and now that I've had a chance to test out just about all the color tricks I can think of, I'll probably be making somewhat less eye-massacring use of color, for the most part. >_>
