I've definitely started feeling a lot more confident in my backgrounds now. It seems the trick, for me at least, is to use a brush that doesn't vary in thickness. I grew up with mechanical pencils, after all.

joined just to say I would buy a book just based on what i've seen so far. keep it up! ^_^ love the characters, art, costume design, plus i've got a kind of soft spot for modified western themes :D
