I remember someone once asked about the significance to Erica's eyes turning pink (and I guess the demon having pink eyes as well).
I wanted to pick a color for dark magic that wouldn't be used for any other kinds of magic. I decided on purple and pink. Erica's eyes are naturally blue, so purple was too similar, and I decided to use pink as the color for Erica's eyes when she's accessing demonic power.
I always seem to go with eyes as a device like this for some reason. I guess it's an easy thing to show.

They also have Melkior in that animal body (which Coridan once said were very hard to kill). It's possible I guess, but I can't imagine one or more of them wouldn't have been killed in the process. They mentioned "gates". I imagine there might be some way to barricade the way through in a way that would be reasonably impossible to destroy. If made well enough, the gates might require so much force that it would cause the whole structure to collapse. Considering Erica brought this up earlier, I suspected that it would be the first thing she would consider if they were suddenly in danger.

eyes are actually fairly important repesentitves in matters like this-"the eyes are a window to the soul" and all that. hmmm. two black mages, a little sprite, and some guy that's apparently a grand mal swordsman, and a sorta possesed redmage. i wonder if they could have fought their way out?
