Go Fetch

The Devils Toilet on Nov. 4, 2007

“Fetch – One could argue that the fetch is not really a separate part of the soul, but a connection to a spiritual guide, or a manifestation of the animalistic Lower Self. Though intimately connected with the Lower Self, this spirit is the animalistic nature of the soul, the core animal spirit/totem/familiar that lives in the center of the shamanic witch’s medicine wheel. This is the self most strongly identified with the individual in this current incarnation. Upon death, and even just prior to death, the Fetch can leave the individual, acting as an independent animal spirit. Sometimes it will reincarnate in another soul complex, often following the Lower Self along family/tribal bloodlines. A group of related individuals might have the same type of animal as a fetch, or pass a fetch on from parent to child, or teacher to student, supplementing the receiver’s original Fetch. The Fetch also helps connect the soul complex and the shadow self.” –Christopher Penczak
Some may also refer to a ghost, doppleganger or other apparition as a ‘fetch.’
