So… Ummm… I promise the next page won't involve a long fall culminating with impact upon a hard surface. Assuming our heroine can even walk (or crawl) away from this… . Thanks for reading everyone
Thanks Banes :) The 'dream theme' won't ever go away completely. An interesting (and very aggravating) philosophical aspect of reality is one can never know with 100% certainty that what is perceived as 'real' is really real (or a dream, if the dream is realistic enough). For us, in day-to-day life, it's safe to assume our lives are indeed real (schizophrenics, on the other hand...). But what about someone in Kimber Lee's place? You been having these incredibly realistic dreams, and suddenly you're being told (convincingly) that you're no longer dreaming, yet you can still do amazing things that would normally only be possible in a dream. For her, it's not safe to assume anything... and that can get maddening.
Poor Kim...and even if this is not a dream (seems as though it's not), dreams are an important theme of this thing...so it's not complete without a long fall off a cliff every once in awhile! CONGRATS on your award nom!
An award?!?!?! Awesome!! I'm humbled to be nominated :) Anyway I felt like it was time to step my art up a bit. Come page 112 (two pages from now) I've tried something different (still watercolor, though), and I'm pretty happy with the results - hope you guys like it!
