Continuing to mess around with black pen and watercolor - probably will for a bit longer…

I tried to convey here that Big Eli is actually sprawled out on the ground, prone and flailing, trying to reach Kimber Lee - not sure how well that worked…
.
Kimber Lee maybe could've avoided his blows for a long time, but those soldiers… her attention isn't infinite, especially while doing inner-monologues :)
.
And so a bullet got her - she used to getting shot, but not being smacked like that!

I'm wondering how long it will be before the army begins to get the idea that none of their weaponery is going to have an effect. Kim's giving him her best moves and I'm doubting even she can bring him down now too. It'll be interesting to see what eventually brings him to heel! Great actions scenes btw and a really nice unique choice of poses.

@Barry: Thanks!! Yeah I suppose I did make 'getting shot' sound a bit trivial to Kimber Lee... It's not!! Still hurts like hell!! But she's survived several of them now (even seeming fatal ones) without lasting damage, so she doesn't panic... much! However, this shot did distract her enough so the Big Eli was able to smack her, so there's that...!

Wow! Great perspective here...and it DOES look like some classic superhero action. That big middle panel is especially nice. Style-wise...really cool!

@Bravo: lol... maybe ol' Colonel has called some of that stuff! And there's Guys with Granade Launchers here already - my thinking was they'd stop firing the grenades (and rockets from 'copter) once Eli got to fighting in among them (they wouldn't want shrapnel hitting their own soldiers...) Not sure if my thinking on that is sound but... that's what I was thinking... But anyway... I was already thinking along your lines - next page (already done) should help! ;)

Great perspective here. At least he's still not walking around and she's buying the soldiers some time. "Tank, yes, send some tanks. How about a Bradley? TOW HMMV? A guy with a grenade launcher? Some kindergartners throwing tantrums? ALL I GOT HERE IS AN ACROBATIC WOMAN AND SOME GUYS WITH RIFLES FOR CHRISSAKES!"
