Chapter 15 Header
KimLuster on Sept. 20, 2016
Botticelli's famous ‘The Birth of Venus’!: I took some art critique classes in college and we went all over this one! This thing is chock full of so much symbolism, but I couldn't get past the weird curly toes of the figures!
I parodied it for it's literal interpretation - the birth of a goddess! Kimber Lee is the kind of goddess they don't know what to do with…!!
If it's not obvious, I rushed this particular chapter header, and it looks a bit sloppy (well, more than usual ;))… Sorry about that, RL rears it head at times!!
Thanks for Reading Everyone!

Haha I immediately recognised this alternate depiction from the shell on the floor. Great idea and very nicely handled too!

Very nice cover! I thought of that Venus portrait the moment I saw it!

Not sure I'd want to be standing in a giant clam shell. Some supreme being (or the next best thing) might dump me in hot sauce or butter and scoop me up for lunch.

@Aubrey: Well it may be that the change is largely inside - physically, Kimber Lee was already pretty darn Goddess-like prior to the dream odyssey!! Knowing her as I do, I suspect she'll make an attempt to stay grounded!!
KimLuster at 6:04PM, Sept. 20, 2016
@El Cid: Yeah, she broke that shell!!

@tupapayon: yes child..?! ;)

@Bravo: It was Machiavellian times...!! And what do we do indeed...!
Aubrey481 at 5:58PM, Sept. 20, 2016
I'm not sure Kimber herself quite knows what to make of all this! She's gone from a normal family woman to a goddess... That's quite the turn around!
El Cid at 7:54AM, Sept. 20, 2016
The change of perspective threw me off, but I should have guessed it from the clam shell. It's appropriate though; showing the scene from behind emphasizes the path ahead, like what's next after her metamorphosis?
tupapayon at 7:19AM, Sept. 20, 2016
Oh my Goddess!!!...
bravo1102 at 6:06AM, Sept. 20, 2016
And just what do we do now that we have a goddess in our midst?
bravo1102 at 6:05AM, Sept. 20, 2016
Good old Botticelli. Confused time all around when painted it. Sure Lorenzo is Magnificent but the pope , the Germans and the French were enough to give one nightmares. And he supposedly got on well with the charismatic evangelical of his time; Savaronla.
