Well, feel free to point out where I may be less than authentic with my depictions of military tactics the next good bit of pages. I feel I've watched enough ‘movie’ tactics to do an alright job, but I always like to be ‘rea’l (although I'm not gonna change any already completed page unless an error is glaring… ;)
This page, I did read up a bit on parachuting at night and don't feel like this is too outrageous! The Colonel's speech is pure drama, though! What can I say - he's a special kinda guy!!
I gave a little peak at Kimber Lee's super-duper super-suit in my last year's DD Awards Appreciation Page!

Amazing artwork on this page, Kim!! I absolutely love the black/white scheme for the parachute drop and the plane (along with the rest of it) looks awesome!

@El Cid: they do. What can be seen will be engaged. What is engaged will be killed. They just are having trouble putting together the weapon systems necessary to kill subject one.

I'm pretty sure the military doesn't have tactics on the books for giant psychotic demigods, so you should be free to make up whatever you want! The pep talk really builds the tension for what's coming next... though I fear most of those soldiers will end up as fodder.

I'm clueless on battle tactics and my only real insight into military planning comes from Black Adder so I'd never notice any flaws here! Even so it's a very gripping page with a nice build up to that cliffhanger!

the "highlight" approach to speeches like this feel like the right way to go! It feels real, and gets this reader excited for what's to come! Wow, Eli has supporters? Stockholm Syndrome is a real thing! That adds a whole new dimension of trouble - I dig it!!

@FC: Yup, as I told Bravo, the top two panels aren't really 'jumping gear', they're what I found when searching 'hi-tech soldier', so I didn't do a good job transitioning from those to the actual jump scenes, so it certainly seems like they're in jump gear...

@Bravo: I googled 'hi-tech soldier' and came up with pics that closely resembled the top two panels... So yeah, the top two panels aren't really the jump gear (I should've made that more clear - maybe have the soldiers not so decked out at first)... Oh well. And yeah, this most certainly is a condensed 'highlight' speech!!

Looks to me like he's wearing a tactical vest and a camelback in the first panel and not his jump rig.
