This is a callback to the Red Dress we first see in Ch. 4, and Kimber Lee wears it on a ‘date’ with Jack Caleb, and then continues wearing it Forever (even getting it torn up and making a Shanna She-Devil Jungle Bikini out of it)!!
Things have changed a bit!
How'd Kimber Lee get to Hong Kong and find Jack?!! DumduduDum!!
The last 6 panels I did a nearly identical scene in each to see how close I could copy myself panel to panel - it's Hard as Hell!! Next time I'll just make a single background and cut/paste differences… But… I did makes lots of tiny changes to the background as well, frame to frame… Hrmmmm…. Well, I'll just take more time (Next story, I double we'll have a similar scene rest of this story)!
Well, anyway, Jack Caleb is one of the Loose Ends that needs tying up!! We'll see how that goes next three pages!! This is how Kimber Lee spends her Time Off!!
I think about everyone should get the paraphrased quote last panel!!

I know this is not your latest update but I am totally in love with this page. *.* I always struggle with landscapes and backgrounds, and that first panel is one of the greatest cityscapes I've ever seen - and to think that this was all done in watercolor... get a digital tablet and you will rule the internet. :D The overall composition of the panels is beautiful - the page looks so still and yet so many things happen when you look at the details. That is hard to achieve, but you pulled it off without fault. Very classy. ;)

Wow...! Thank you so much!! I never expected this page to be liked this much. I thought it one of my weaker ones ha! Well, shows what we know! Still I must admit I did like the first panel!! I do have a digital tablet, and I've tried to do something with it, but I can't seem to get the hang of it... The best I can do is enhancing shadows and colors a bit :( Still, when I see what you and others can do I know it can be done... maybe someday I'll just bite the bullet and really try to learn it!! Thanks again!!

I have no words for this page, other than "it's amazing!" I mean, can't imagine all the work that must have been the development of this page :D Kimber Lee also plays the piano, and I like how people reacts.

I just love the city scene at night and the whole page has a really nice romantic feel to it, but apart from that.. Wow, it seems so far back that I first saw those pages, and in production time maybe it was like some 2-3 years ago? Personally I'll be most shocked if you don't win 'Best Finished Comic' this year.

awesome page - the cityscape as well as the "single shot" panels. So much suspense! I was expecting Jack and...others...to show up during the confrontation with Eli. But this is better. Love the change of scene and mood! And good on you, again, for this labor-intensive page!

That is a beautiful first panel, and I like the pacing and expressions in the rest. Sadly I don't read music, but that doesn't look like "As Time Goes By" to my untrained eye. Is it a particular tune?

Thanks Steve, it's really just random notes I grabbed, but, I did play it on a piano as I roughly read it here (there's no notation lines here so just played the notes where they roughly look like they should be, in the Key of C Major (that's all the white keys on the piano for you non-music knowin' folks)) and it does sound like a reasonable tune!!
