For a group that promotes open-mindedness and listening to others, too many liberals seem to resort to namecalling to shut the other person up and mark them as an undesirable.

Does the disagreement involve a person of another sex, they're sexist, involve another race, they're racist, involve a different sexuality, they're a homophobe. Ad hominem attacks rather than trying to point out the flaw in the argument.

My favorite of this: The ACLU actually demanded that people who wanted to protest what the ACLU were doing would be allowed to speak out against them. At least one group understands this, even if the schools today do not.
