Chapter 1, Page 4: Another Dead Tiger
Peek_A_Blue on Oct. 1, 2006
I hope this page isnt really as confusing to everyone as I think it might be.
I dont want to explain any of it because it will come up later, but if you really must know whats going on you can send me a PM by clicking on my user name and then the send a private quack link.
Also, thank you guys so much for the nice comments. Everything is all better now =)
Also, Cheeko, I wouldnt worry too much about that scene, its a long ways away.
Would everyone like to see an introduction to the world he lives in featuring gods and spirits and all sorts of creatures next or an introduction with like a monologue by Rend about himself (which I planned to just make that happen in the story flow, but I could do it as an intro) OR continue with the next scene?
Feedback appreciated =)

Really interesting. It reminds me of a project I saw in development for a film.

I love your comic but some of the hands look awkward. In pannel four especially but I'm bad at hands myself so I won't complain.

How far do you think this comic will go, blue?
Peek_A_Blue at 5:24PM, Oct. 2, 2006
4's make me sad =|

A quick background explanation would really help establish the world they live in. I vote for that. ^^ Ooooo... blood.

interesting concept, planet of the apes with tigers and the hero has multiple personality disorder. gotta say also though, I love the artwork.

paint shop pro X mostly. I scan a pencil drawing and adjust highlight/midtone/shadow then brightness/contrast so the lines are dark enough (too lazy to ink it). Then on a new layer, using my tablet, I color with the standard brush the flat base colors. Then I go over the image with the lighten/darken brush for highlights and shading. Next I use the smudge brush to blend some of the harder edges on the highlights so they look a little more natural, but I dont use it in every place. =)

Peek a blue, what do you use to do your art?
daidaishar at 2:37PM, Oct. 2, 2006
I'm following the page just fine. And the art is gorgeous, especialy the poor little mangled tiger. It helps bging home just how vicious or protagonist's little head monster is.

oh and one other note: It would have been cool to have a page or two of combat with the tiger-man. At least so we can contiue to see how badass the main character is ^_^

Nice attempt at perspective in the 4th panel. :) The different camera shots are great! It gives more life to the comic. And your coloring is really awesome! Keep up the great work.
