I actually do this fairly often. It boosts my self esteem. And yes, it's always that obnoxious.
Kickin' It in Hyrule:
True story. I got the Legend of Zelda soundtrack and I went into the school store right when the Shop Theme switched on. It was a magical moment.

Seriously. It's the best and fastest way to simultaneously boost and lower my self-esteem. On one hand, I'm much better now, however it meant that I was terrible back then... But the pro's outweigh the con's so it's all sunshine and rainbows. :D

Ha, I do that as well. Something about being better than your 15 year old self at drawing is extremely elevating for some reason.
