This is a picture drawn by Christine Chong of Niggle Bearabell, the heroine of the Black Eyes series. Niggle is a weap, a being that feeds off of human enjoyment by granting wishes. Weaps are asexual beings that are neither male or female in sex, but Niggle sees itself as a girl. It, but I really mean she, is hopeful, kind and a romantic. She is fascinated by humans and wishes to be like us as much as possible. To that end, she has left The Second World(the land where weaps live) and is trying to live a normal, human like life, with Marten Matheson, her human counterpart.
