After all Bass's shots are not that powerful. They don't do that much damages to Rock in the games so against a powerful Reploids it makes sense that this kind of attack is not very effective. As for Zero and X, I think it's a bit different knowing that they were made using a more advanced technology than the one they use for Rock and Bass. And as it is said in Megaman X, Reploids are incomplete copy made from X design. Cain made them without completly understand how he was built. Even Sigma admit that he can't understand how Zero and X are functionning. And I think that neither Light nor Wily knew that they could be that string because even with the "help" from Wily in MMX 5, well it's not said but seems clear, Sigma couldn't create a perfect enough virus to counter Zero. That's why, for me, they are more powerful than the other Reploids. Even with an advanced technology they couldn't make Reploids that are as "perfect" as they are. Even Axl's serie isn't good enough.

Well, honestly, that makes sense. Or else, if WOULD if X and Zero, the two strongest warriors weren't as dangerous as they are AND weren't made around the same time as Megaman and Bass, by the same people. That makes THIS level of seperation of powers a little to large for me.
