First note: she is not an autobiographical character, I just gave her my nickname because I wanted to use the name for a character for a long time, before I had it for my name here. Previously my name was Zerlocke and he certainly isn't an author-insert! After drawing her the first time I decided I wanted to dye my hair like hers, which explains me “avatar” appearance in CTV. Previously it was red stripes, not just the bangs. Also I gave her the hairdo I'd just come up with. Beyond those few traits, she isn't me. I tried to express this to no avail…people thought she was me anyway, and when this got reviewed several people implied I was a necrophiliac (jerks!) and what's worse they “didn't see where they insulted me” when I told them such accusations were uncalled for. I don't think I'll ever live that down since this came at a time that I was already in deep depression. It'd be nice if people excercised a little tact sometimes…internet madness is no excuse for internet rudeness

Does it honestly matter if she's your self-insert or not? Tons of authors have self-inserts in their cartoons/novels/comics; it's no big deal. Brian from Family Guy is the creator's self insert; Hermione Granger is Rowling's self insert in Harry Potter, and both of them are very popular shows and books! It shouldn't matter if a character you made is based on yourself or not; as long as it's not a special snowflake Mary Sue character, then it should be fine!

I read the whole Unlife is Unfair but 1 thing that bugs me the most is this page. I find the meeting of the 2 very awkward, know what i mean as who doesn't freaks out seeing a dead guy talking to ya.

:P Me half-sister called me Ames. I got mad at her for it, but she and my brother both liked to tease me. In a way it was good as I was resistant in later life to comments made at my expense, (they sucked at insulting though) but it was still a tough childhood.

Same thing always happens to me when I'm creating characters. I'll have just dyed my hair blue or green and I'll think "This one should have blue/green hair because that colour is awesome!" and then they end up looking like me... :P Of course, that all changes when you dye your hair a different colour ^^

personally i thought you just like to draw that style of hair. the very few humans in my stories have long stringy brown hair, like mine cause i like how it looks and i like drawing it
